Precision Hydraulic System Built for a Plasterboard Press Application.
We just completed the design and build of a bespoke hydraulic system comprised of a HPU and a set of cylinders for a plasterboard press, and itβs a great example of engineering tailored to a very specific application.
The system is engineered for rapid response and consistent pressure/flow control, supported by an accumulator arrangement that maintains stability throughout each cycle. This ensures smooth operation and prevents pressure drop during highβdemand phases of the press.
A key feature of this build is the integration of a manifoldβmounted cylinder assembly with proportional control and a transducer. This combination provides highly accurate positional control. The transducer allows the cylinder to be set to a precise stroke length, giving the customer repeatable, controlled movement, exactly whatβs required for their plasterboard production process.
Projects like this highlight the value of working closely with the end user: understanding the application, designing around the challenges, and delivering a system that performs reliably from the first press cycle.
