Frances-Higgins Projects (FHP) are looking for experienced contractors for upcoming HV substation works across the UK, with starts from 19th October and further opportunities expected in November.

🔹 CP – NSI 6 & 8 FULL
📍 Oldham, Manchester
📅 Start: 19/10
⏳ Duration: 4 weeks +
💰 Rate: £350 per day

🔹 NG / NGED / WPD Mechanical Fitters
📍 Bedford + further sites
📅 Start: 19/10
⏳ Duration: 4–6 weeks, with potential for long-term work across the Midlands
💰 Rate: £300 per day +

🔹 4x National Grid Mechanical Fitters
📍 Westham
📅 Start: Date TBC – likely November
⏳ Duration: 4–6 weeks
💰 Rate: £350 per day

🔧 CIVIL SITE MANAGER REQUIRED – YORK
Frances-Higgins Projects (FHP) are currently looking for an experienced Civil Site Manager for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in York.

📍 Location: York
📅 Start: ASAP, Ideally this week 6th October OR 12th October
⏱️ Duration: 30–40 weeks
💷 Rate: £450 per day

🔹 THE ROLE
We are looking for a Site Manager with strong civil construction experience, ideally gained on BESS, HV substation or similar infrastructure projects. You do not need National Grid authorisations for this position, but previous experience working on BESS projects, substations or similar large-scale civil works is essential.

Key works will include:
Ground remediation and preparation
Working alongside dozer operations and 3D mapping
Civil engineering and groundworks
Progressing into concrete works
Trenching and excavationDucting / laying works
Managing site activities, labour and subcontractors
Ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and specification
