BMW M240i 🚀

Full geometry setup carried out at Joey’s Speed Shop.

As with every vehicle that comes through the workshop, we carried out a thorough inspection before getting started. During this, we found a few issues, the main one being the rear suspension had been fitted incorrectly.

Before carrying out the geometry setup, we corrected the suspension installation to ensure everything was fitted and operating as it should.

We also identified excessive wear and tearing in the rear propshaft donut. The customer has since ordered the replacement parts and will get this addressed before heading off to Spa and the Nürburgring for some track days later this month 🏁

Audi RS3 8Y 🚀

This RS3 came into Joey’s Speed Shop for a geometry setup, with the customer also reporting a wheel wobble at higher speeds.

As always, we carried out a full health check before getting to work. We cleaned up some oil residue left over from a recent service, checked all the relevant mating faces and put the wheels through the balancing machine.

The wheels weren’t quite where they needed to be, so we corrected the balance and repositioned the weights correctly to get everything running as it should.

Another happy customer, with the wheel wobble resolved and the car feeling spot on again! 👌

Even better, they’re already booked back in for some more work.

Honda S2000 🇯🇵🚀

This S2000 came into the workshop for

• Braided rear brake lines
• Gearbox service with Millers spec oil
• Brake bleed with Castrol SRF
• Hardrace rear toe arms
• Hardrace reinforced rear droplinks
• Full geometry & corner-weighted setup

During inspection, we also found a substantial leak from the front differential seal.

Rather than simply replacing the seal, the diff was removed and fully rebuilt using genuine Honda seals and components. All casings were blasted and refinished, with the hardware zinc coated to bring everything back up to standard.. Massive thanks to GearboxWizard on this 👌

The rear toe arm bolts were also seized solid and had to be cut out. These were replaced with new genuine Honda hardware during reassembly.

The customer supplied us with a specific setup he wanted for the car, so we tailored the geometry and corner weights exactly to his requirements.

A fresh setup and a new lease of life for this S2000.

Now ready to hit the roads 🏁

BMW M2 Competition 🏁

Another M2 Competition leaving Joey’s Speed Shop with a serious track-focused upgrade package.

This one came in for:

The suspension was dialled in specifically for track use, with ride heights, camber, caster (fixed), toe and corner weights all set with the car’s intended use in mind.

Toyota Yaris GR 🚀

This Yaris GR came into the shop for a full track geometry and corner-weighted setup.

As the car is only used to get to and from the track, we could go much more aggressive with the setup and really optimise the chassis for circuit use.

With a host of adjustable chassis components already fitted, fine-tuning the car was a breeze. Front and rear adjustable droplinks were set correctly to ensure zero preload on both anti-roll bars at ride height.

For the whole setup process we put the slicks on to give us a true representation of how the car will sit and behave on track.

The car was then fully corner weighted with driver weight installed throughout the entire process, ensuring the final balance accurately represented the car in its intended track configuration.

Properly dialled in and ready for some serious track time 🏁

BMW M4 F82 🏁

This one came into the shop for BC Racing coilovers, Millway front control arm bushes, Nitron adjustable droplinks, braided brake lines with Motul RBF660 fluid and Apex wheels wrapped in Yokohama AD09s.

During the inspection we noticed the rear subframe was showing quite a bit of corrosion, so rather than leave it, we decided to bring the car back in at a later date and take care of it properly.

Another subframe will be purchased and powder coated, Then rebuilt with the dual-mount diff kit along with plenty of fresh hardware and components along the way.

An awesome-spec F82 that’s now properly sorted and ready for some track days before the season comes to an end 🏁

Clio 182 Cup ~ Little pocket rocket 🚀

This one needed a new lease of life, so we fitted a fresh set of BC Racing suspension, followed by a full geometry and corner-weighted setup to get everything working as it should.

A complete drive-in, drive-out package. Supplied, fitted and set up in-house at Joey’s Speed Shop.

Now sitting right, handling properly and ready for some serious track time 🏁

BMW M2 OG 🚀

Another awesome OG M2 in the shop for a full geometry setup before heading out to the Nürburgring.

When the car arrived, the rear end was sitting noticeably high and, on inspection, things weren’t quite as they should be.

We found the rear suspension had been installed incorrectly, while both front steering arm pinch bolts were loose with one of them only a few turns away from falling out 😳

During the setup, we also found the rear camber bolts completely seized solid. Both were removed, the arm was moved out of the way and the area thoroughly cleaned back using a wire wheel to remove all the oxidation.

Brand new camber bolts and hardware were then installed before carrying out the full geometry setup.

Not only is everything now assembled correctly and safely, the car is finally sitting and handling exactly as it should.

Safe to say, this Nürburgring trip is going to be epic 🇩🇪🏁

Adjustable drop links installed and correctly set up on the patch to ensure zero preload on the ARB system at ride height.

The customer wanted to run the car nice and low without constantly catching and scraping, so we got the ride height dialled in to achieve exactly that... low, functional and properly set up 🙌

Another M2 ready to hit the road with the chassis working as it should 🏁

🇺🇸 USA Motorsport Work 🇺🇸

Some regular motorsport work undertaken for Inception Racing out in the USA.

Indianapolis was the first stop, where we got involved with the Streetfest event, performing demo pit stops for the crowds before getting down to business and racing over the weekend.

From Indianapolis, it was straight down to Atlanta for a two day test before heading back next weekend for the final race of the year — Petit Le Mans 🏁

Always a great bunch of people to work with and a privilege to be involved in top level motorsport across the pond.
