Adhesives present high resistance to flow due to their elevated viscosity, density, tack and rheological behaviour – how a material flows when pumping force is applied 😮‍💨. These materials can exceed 50,000 mPas and may contain fillers that increase internal friction. They are inherently sticky and often exhibit Newtonian behaviour, meaning viscosity stays the same when force is applied, making them difficult to pump.

Adhesive media require pumps with low internal friction, capable of delivering high discharge pressure, controlled flow at low speeds, high torque, low shear and smooth pulsation free transfer ⚙️💪. Standard centrifugal pumps cannot overcome the internal resistance of adhesive media.

Progressive cavity pumps such as the FLUX ViscoPower provide the solution - strong suction, low speed (allowing time for slow-flowing media to enter the pump inlet), stable flow, easy cleanability and reliable handling of paste like or filled adhesives 🔄. When you contact our service team about a pump or motor issue, the serial number (NR) is the fastest way for us to identify your exact model, configuration and date of sale. Here’s where to find it:

🔍 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗟𝗨𝗫 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲

Look below the motor near the top of the pump tube, opposite the discharge port. You’ll see “NR:” followed by the serial number printed down the side of the tube.

This number helps us confirm:
• Pump type and impeller size
• Tube length
• O-ring and pump tube materials
• Date of sale

🔍 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗟𝗨𝗫 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿

Check the label sticker on the motor housing. It should show “NR:” and the serial number.

This allows our team to identify:
• Model (F 457, FEM 4070, FBM 4100, etc.)
• Power rating and voltage
• Fixed or variable speed control
• ATEX classification (if applicable)
• Date of sale
