A WikiHouse build like this one produces around 100kgCO₂e/m² across all of the materials that are added to it, but the timber chassis alone sequesters 350kgCO₂e/m². Last year we created this plywood and pine staircase for a local project. The client was renovating a cottage and needed a bespoke staircase to fit the odd shaped space. Interesting one to machine.

Another demonstration of the versatility of machined plywood! We've also just completed a second staircase which will create the access to the 2nd floor. Follow to see how that comes out.

Sometimes it helps being tall when building your WikiHouse, but it's always nice to be doing it in the sunshine. This is one of the finishing parts being applied to new WikiHouse café building. We were incredibly lucky to get this weather in November to get the chassis all finished up.

I don't know why it was a surprise, but it's been a chilly first day back in the workshop, waking up the place and getting back to it. Happy new year everyone! So excited for what's to come this year. We have some big exciting projects in the works.
