We love seeing old photos of Teagle products from years gone by — just like this one.

What makes these photos so special are the stories and memories that come with them. This photograph was sent to us by Tim Boddington and was taken on 4th August 1954, showing his father, Roddy Boddington, loading a bag of ICI Nitro Chalk into a Teagle spreader while Tim, aged just 12, was driving the tractor.

It's wonderful to be able to look back at moments like these and see the role Teagle machines have played on farms over the generations.

The Teagle family are sad to share the news that Henry Grenfell, who worked in our team on site as builder, maintenance and general all-rounder, passed away on 4th June 2026.

Henry worked at Teagle for around 10 years in the 1990s; a force of nature with a can-do approach and positive outlook that left it's mark on us all. Henry would turn his hand to any task with enthusiasm, always having a ditty or a word to brighten up the day, one of his favourites being Herman's Hermits "I'm Henry VIII, I Am".

Henry could often be found driving his red dumper truck around the site at breakneck speed, if the weather was looking bad, glancing skyward saying "The clouds 'ave teeth on 'em".

Richard Berryman (now Production Director), recalls working with Henry fixing the workshop roofs as a school summer job. Health and Safety was very different at that time. At a later date, Henry disappeared through one of the skylights, only to land a few feet down on a crane that had fortunately been parked underneath. Henry referred to 'The luck of the Devil" and on this occasion the luck was on his side.

Tom Teagle learnt to drive under the tuition of Henry on the site Massey 135 - "I could just about reach the pedals and thought that I was doing OK, but Henry wanted to get the job done and encouraged me "Give it stick! Give it stick!"

Henry will be sadly missed, but many happy memories remain.

Henry's funeral will be held on Tuesday 7th July 4:30pm at Treswithian Crematorium.

June has been a busy month on the show circuit, and we’re not done yet!

After Royal Cornwall Show and Cereals, the Teagle team are heading north this week for the Royal Highland Show.

Taking place over four days, it’s another great opportunity to catch up with customers, dealers and the wider farming community, and to showcase our extensive range of agricultural machinery.

Come and see us on stand T207 — we’d be pleased to talk machinery, answer your questions, and help you find the right machine for the job.

Not the day 3 of the Royal Cornwall Show we were looking forward to; however, a hard decision was made with safety in mind.

We're now moving the Machinery up to our next show, Cereals Event, being held at Diddly Squat Farm Shop with the Royal Highland Show shortly after!
