💨 STORM AUSTEN… IS YOUR FENCE ABOUT TO LEAVE THE GROUP CHAT? 💨

With an amber wind warning covering Cornwall from 1am to 10am tomorrow, Friday 23 October, now’s the time to get prepared, before your fence becomes somebody else’s fence. ⚠️

Check those posts, secure loose panels and strengthen any wobbly bits while it’s safe, before the wind arrives. That panel you’ve been meaning to fix since April? It’s currently checking flights to Bodmin. ✈️😂

Fencing, posts and fixings, RGB Truro and Archie Bee are here to help you get ready, and for the repairs afterwards.

We’re getting staff AND customers involved, because apparently selling building materials doesn’t give us enough opportunities to embarrass each other. 😂

Would you rather have your mum follow you round work saying “that’s my clever boy”… OR have your school recorder performance played whenever you arrive? 🎶

Imagine loading a customer’s van and your mum’s behind you going, “Look at him carrying that all by himself. He was such a tiny baby.” 😭

Or pulling into the branch while your Year 3 rendition of *Three Blind Mice* clears the yard quicker than a fire drill.

Which are you picking? Staff, you’re answering too. “I’m busy” isn’t an option — your mum says you’re clever enough to multitask. 😂👇

You’ve told the customer you’ll be finished by lunchtime.
You’ve told your other half you’ll be home early.
You’ve told us you know exactly what fitting you need.

That’s three lies before breakfast.

Next thing, you’re at our counter showing us a blurry photo of something under a sink.

“Have you got one of these, but the other way round?”

Of course, mate. Let us just get the plumbing psychic out the back. 🔮🔧

Meanwhile, your apprentice is sat in the van guarding a sausage roll like it’s the Crown Jewels, and Archie’s done absolutely nothing all week and is somehow the most excited about clocking off.🐝

🐝 WHERE’S ARCHIE? EPISODE 1: BEE-HAVING BADLY 🚽

We’ve got loads of photos of Archie around RGB Truro, so we thought we’d start sharing what he actually gets up to.

Unfortunately, his first appearance is a disciplinary matter. 😂

Found him on the showroom toilet, asking for a newspaper and shouting “OCCUPIED!” at paying customers.

Mate. It’s not plumbed in. This is a bathroom showroom, not a service station. 😳

He’s calling it a “product demonstration”.
We’re calling it a potential clean-up in aisle three.

Pop in for some bathroom inspiration, just don’t take installation advice from a bee who thinks the price tag is toilet roll. 🧻🐝

Where will he turn up next? Depends which member of staff leaves him unsupervised… 👀

Checked the CCTV for something at RGB Truro…

accidentally discovered why Carts has hit a MILLION in sales. 😂

There he was, SKIPPING through the branch, hand in hand with a customer, like they’d just won a weekend away together rather than sorted out some building materials. 🤣

Forget “Can I help you?”
Carts is offering “Take my hand, we’ll get through this project together.” 🤝😂

We knew his customer service was good, but a fully escorted skip through the branch? That’s going above and beyond. And occasionally airborne.

Sometimes it’s the little things we stumble across that give us the biggest laugh. ❤️

Everyone needs a Carts in their life. Ours comes with product knowledge, a million in sales and absolutely no concern about being caught on camera. 🕺🐝

💙 Customer notice – Monday 12th October

On Monday, the RGB Truro team will be attending the funeral service of our much-loved friend and colleague, Ziggy.

The branch will remain open, operating on a collection-only basis, with some of our wider branch network colleagues. There will be no deliveries that day.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we come together to say goodbye.

As many of you will know, Ziggy was incredibly special to us all. He was a friend, a huge part of our branch family, and someone who brought kindness, laughter and heart to every working day. His absence is felt deeply, and being there to honour him means so much to the team.
