Good evening. At last a working prototype. All 72 components working together. It has done about 5 hours running, nothing has fallen off yet. There are a couple of small mods to do so that it all sits level. And some small holes in the motor gear box casing and the bearing tubes, for lubrication. Has you can hear she is a bit squeaky. I am still costing the parts to work out my margins, to finalise a retail price.

After much experimentation and testing. Wheels simply pushed fit on axles did not work. I tried this to try and keep the costs down. This week I have changed the wheel and axle assembly design. The wheels are now on square axle ends with a counter sunk screw hold them on. Drilling and tapping the hole in the axle end can sometimes go wrong. Thank you all for your patience. The ready to run diesel shunter project has progressed as far some complete mechanical prototypes. Now to do the electrical work. With longer axles an long bearings they will run on 45mm gauge as well. This is based on old Talyllyn Railway No.8 Merseysider. Little did I know when I started this project, how long it would take to get this far. I now have to test them to to find the weak points. And then work out my margins. Even though it is 3d printed there are 33 parts in the Chassis. I hope before the end of the year to run one on the Llechfan Garden Railway, we shall see.

Good morning thank you to all my customers during the last year. And to those who are taking an interest in the diesel shunter project. Many hours have spent on this in the past 11th months I am nearly at the stage of five working prototypes.

However I have also many enquiries. it with requests to make the files available on some of the free 3d download sites. Whilst I do not mind these sites. Please don't expect those who make their living doing this to give away the work for free. Would you work for your employer for free? There is however a good system to get free garden railways and that is to design and make them yourself.

Those who send me a request for a file "for one wheel so I can print it my self" you will not be replied to. This is because I don't make a living from time wasters.
