Great example of our Belgian split cobbles being used in a fabulous garden 😍.

These are the worn tops of cobbles that have been replaced and split down to an easier to handle size. Perfect for garden paths, as seen here, but still sturdy enough for driveways etc.

You know we love bricks here at Watling Reclamation, so on a short trip to France recently we stopped off at Vitry-le-François to see the Collegiate Church of Notre Dame. Check out the vaulted roof 👀. Bricks!!

It’s always astonishing to see such buildings, hand built, with hand cut stone, hand carved features, still standing despite being built in the 13th century 😮

It’s moments like this that emphasise the importance of having a reclamation policy in place when large infrastructure projects are given the go ahead.

We love to see what our customers do with the items we supply.

This urn and pedestal became a garden focal point in a large lawn, with the new hard standing entirely in keeping with both the urn and the period house.

If you look closely, you’ll also see some bullnose flower border edging. This is reclaimed limestone coping cleverly laid on edge and creating a unique look.

A paving project mixing new and reclaimed materials always brings a unique appeal.

Here, the reclaimed Yorkstone is currently separated from the new Egyptian limestone herringbone pavers, but will be connected by low height but colourful planting.

It’s an excellent way to use new and old in a harmonious whole.
