Small gestures can make a big difference.

We were delighted to support Francis Porter from Totnes Community Tennis Club with a donation of wood chip for the Lifeworks Community Garden in Totnes.

The garden, now self-funded by Francis, provides a valuable community space and continues to support the important work of Lifeworks Charity.

Francis shared: “Thank you for your very generous donation of wood chip to the garden. It was delivered this morning by your very helpful driver – great service!

As I’m funding this myself now, any donation like this is amazing. With the extreme dry weather, these wood chips will be essential in helping to retain moisture in the soil and will benefit the plants and pollinators.

Thank you once again for your wonderful support of this important small community asset.”

Proud to announce that we're the headline sponsor of StormFest 160 on Sat 22 Aug 26. Our founders, Stan and Beryl Moreing, who sadly passed away earlier this year, were passionate supporters of RNLITorbay so it's particularly poignant.

StormFest 160 commemorates the Great Storm of 1866 and the establishment of Torbay's first Lifeboat Station later that year. Coxswain, Richard Fowler, said:

“We’re so very delighted to have Inter-Line Building Supplies onboard as the event’s lead sponsor, in memory of their late founders, Stan and Beryl - especially as the company themselves celebrate their 50-year anniversary this year. StormFest 160 gives us the opportunity to say Thank You to the local community for their 160 years of unwavering support for our lifeboat station and our volunteers.”

Highlights include:

⚓ A dramatic reenactment of the 1866 overland lifeboat haul from Teignmouth to Torquay, featuring an all-female team in Victorian costume.
⚓ A flotilla of gig boats and RNLI lifeboats crossing Tor Bay.
⚓ A service of remembrance at Brixham’s Man and Boy statue.
⚓ FREE Live music, local food and drink, family entertainment and a raffle at The Old Coastguard House, Brixham from 11am - 11pm
