Pipeline anomalies don't always require intervention. Knowing which ones do is where integrity engineering adds value.

A Mediterranean gas export pipeline network presented multiple integrity challenges, including offshore free spans, displaced mattresses, coating damage, corrosion features and restrictions on conventional in line inspection.

Jee integrated structural assessment, finite element modelling, fitness for service evaluations and risk based integrity management to determine anomaly significance and develop a long term inspection and monitoring strategy.

The result was a prioritised integrity framework that focused resources on the highest risk threats while supporting the safe continued operation of critical export infrastructure.

🌡️ Reduce operating temperature by 20°C
For a 10" HPHT gas export pipeline, only one option eliminated the predicted upheaval buckling risk.
Our detailed FE assessment identified potential UHB hotspots where burial cover was lower than design requirements, demonstrating how understanding the interaction between temperature, soil resistance, and pipeline behaviour can be more effective than simply adding more weight.
Sometimes the best engineering solutions aren't the most complex.
