SnapLok designed, engineered and patented the original ButtonLok system back in 2001 within the US, since then other rotary power sweeping companies have either copied or modified and then claimed as their own. SnapLok created the power sweeping industry more than 15 years ago and have brought their SnapLok equipment to professional chimney sweeps in the UK, Ireland and all over Europe. The SnapLok range includes flexible power sweeping rods made of solid nylon in 8mm, 12mm, 15mm and 18mm in thickness, various sized rotary heads and brushes, birds nest removers and tar/creosote removal heads, plus a range of adaptors for other rod and brush types. SnapLok also provide a full range of rotary power sweeping equipment for biomass and pellet heating system flues. Rotary Power Sweeping also sell our own range of professional chimney sweeping equipment and accessories to make the job of chimney sweeping easier and cleaner, this includes heavy duty denim hearth sheets, floor runners, fireplace props, torches and mirrors, gaffa tape, stove magnets, register plate magnets, glass scrapers and carpet overshoes. A scrub shaft cable that won't fray past its coating.

The SnapLok Hybrid PowerWhip Combo pairs the Death Star head with stainless steel frayed-end cables in a thick-walled, flexible coating.

The cable keeps the head centred in the flue. The frayed ends add cleaning action. Eighteen whip strands give 24 points of contact across 450mm.

When a cable wears, replace it. The shaft stays.

The RPS Chimney Mole Brush uses soft perlon to lift loose soot and leave the mortar where it is. It's gentler than a rotary whip head, and gentler than some manual brushes. 🔥

It's pinned to a SnapLok Adaptor, so it spins slowly in either direction without losing the brush. Pair it with the SootDevil vacuum range for the clean-up.

SnapLok Hybrid PowerWhip Combo: Cleaner Flues, Centred Head

A rotary head that wanders in the flue cleans unevenly. The SnapLok Hybrid PowerWhip Combo is built to prevent that.

It pairs the Death Star head with a Scrub Shaft fitted with stainless steel frayed-end cables. The cable keeps the head centred while you sweep, and the frayed ends add extra cleaning action. The thick, flexible coating stops the cable fraying past it.

The 18" (450mm) head carries 18 whip strands on 4.0mm line, giving 24 points of cleaning contact. The cable is replaceable, so you can swap to a different length, and the shaft works with many other SnapLok heads.

Use the same lead rod on every flue and that one rod fatigues first. Eventually it's the one that breaks.

That's why SnapLok makes no dedicated lead rod. Rotate all twelve in the Open Fire Kit (4 x 15mm, 8 x 18mm) and the wear is shared.

The kit includes 12mm stainless steel SnapLok rods with the Double Button system, which connects in under 30 seconds and won't disconnect in the flue. It also comes with a 12" Bullet head and a 24" Death Star Whip Head for tar and nests. Our colour-coded rods are light, so there's no liner slap.

Loose parging in an old flue or inglenook can come away with the soot if you use the wrong head.

A rotary whip is often too aggressive here. The RPS Mole Brush is built for the job: a soft perlon brush that lifts loose soot and leaves the mortar where it is. For harder, solid fuel deposits, the Hard Mole Brush with nylon bristles is the better choice.

Every Mole brush is pinned to a SnapLok Adaptor, so you can spin it slowly in either direction without losing it in the flue. Pair it with a SootDevil vacuum to keep the clean-up tidy.

A Starter Kit Built for Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps Trainees

Rods that jam in soot or slap about inside a steel liner cost you time on every job. The SnapLok Guild of Master Chimney Sweep Starter Kit (Basic) is built to avoid both.

The SnapLok Double Button system connects in under 30 seconds, and with two buttons per joint there's no risk of a rod parting company in the flue. The 12mm stainless steel rods are light, so they run smoothly in a steel liner without the "liner slap" you get from heavy brass fittings.

The kit sweeps liners from 4" upwards and open chimneys. It includes a 12"/300mm SnapLok Bullet and a 24" Death Star Whip Head for tar and nests. It also comes with a free SnapLok/Rotary Power Sweeping equipment course. For a clean-up after the sweep, our SootDevil vacuums are the natural partner.
