Since May 2025, the majority of our manufacturing facilities have been operating a compressed four-day working week, delivering positive benefits for both our employees and the business.

Following the success of this approach, we're pleased to announce that the four-day working week has now been extended across the entire company.

Steel tariff changes could have a major impact on UK manufacturing. ⚠️

A petition calling for an urgent review of proposed steel import quota and tariff changes is approaching 10,000 signatures.

With the proposed changes due to take effect on 1st July, businesses across the manufacturing, engineering and construction supply chains have raised concerns about the potential impact on material costs, competitiveness and jobs.

Industry bodies including, Make UK, and the British Constructional Steelwork Association (SteelConstruction.info), continue to engage with government and are calling for further review of the proposals before they come into force.

The petition calls for a review of the proposed quota reductions, tariff levels and implementation timeline to help avoid unintended consequences for UK industry.

Testing the limits of section bending with this one!

This project involved bending 610 x 305 x 238kg/m sections in S355JR steel to an inside radius of 17,015mm, a demanding radius for a section of this size.

In total, 9 pieces were processed, each with a finished arc length of 12,100mm, representing 38.5 tonnes of material.

Great to see Kepax Bridge in Worcester recognised once again, this time being named Royal Institute of British Architects West Midlands Building of the Year 2026! 🏆

The bridge has already received recognition at the Structural Steel Design Awards, and it’s fantastic to see the project continue to gain industry recognition for its design, engineering and contribution to the local community.

Angle Ring was proud to support the project by supplying precision section bending and fabrication services, helping form the bridge’s sweeping curved steel elements.
