At the Caithness Jobs and How to Get Them event, organised by Developing the Young Workforce North Highland this weekend, we embraced the opportunity to connect with local job seekers and share career insights at Denchi. While we had some fun exploring the ChatGPT trend, our core message was very genuine, highlighting the exciting career opportunities we offer now and in the future.
We were particularly proud to see several attendees successfully complete our hands-on Production Operative recruitment tests - congratulations to our winners! Additionally, there was strong interest in our new Graduate Apprenticeship in Business Management based in Thurso, designed for those eager to develop a long-term career while continuing their growth. It’s exciting times for electric aviation and Denchi is a proud partner of the Sustainable Aviation Test Environment (SATE) Consortium. The SATE project brings together a consortium of aviation industry specialists, local Orkney and Caithness businesses, public sector bodies and academia. The SATE project will create the UK’s first operationally-based, low-carbon aviation test centre at Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL)’s Kirkwall Airport. The project will trial a host of exciting aviation technologies including low-carbon aircraft that utilise electric, hydrogen or synthetic fuel to replace conventional fossil fuels. It will also trial UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and demonstrate how they can be used to meet the needs of real-life use cases.
