When it comes to embankment reconstruction, stability is everything, especially on steep or vulnerable banks, margins, and shorelines.

A solution, erosion control blankets, they are a key part of delivering long-term, sustainable solutions.

Made from 100% natural coir, these blankets provide immediate surface stability while protecting exposed soil from erosion. Their strong silt collection properties help retain sediment and create the ideal conditions for vegetation to establish.

Over time, the blanket naturally decomposes (typically within 3–5 years), leaving behind a fully stabilised, vegetated embankment, without the need for synthetic materials.

We're pleased to share progress on our hard landscaping works at Norwich Castle Gardens.

Enviro-fix was awarded this project following a competitive tender process with Norwich City Council, and it's great to see the transformation now taking shape on site.

This £400,000 revamp is part of a wider programme to restore and enhance this important public space introducing new improved seating areas, and wider, more accessible pathways to better connect the gardens with the surrounding city.

The project will help create a more welcoming, accessible and enjoyable environment for visitors, while complementing the historic setting of Norwich Castle.

Case Study: Headwall Design & Installation – Mallards Way Pond

Last year we completed the design and installation of a new headwall system at Mallards Way Pond Maidstone Borough Council, delivered in just one week.

The project involved removing an aging weir, stop log system, and culverted pipe, followed by the installation of a precast concrete Althon H6C A headwall with integrated debris management and a modular stop log system for flexible water level control.

The upgraded infrastructure has improved flow regulation, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced the pond’s overall environmental stability, while allowing for easy seasonal adjustment of water levels.

This scheme formed part of a wider programme of works across three sites in the Maidstone area.
