Job Alert: Class 1 Tanker Drivers.

Due to an ever expanding work load we are looking for experienced tanker drivers to join our team based at Teddington, near Tewkesbury.

The role is for a tramper to go away Monday to Friday, with the option of overtime on Saturday/Sunday, four nights out per week guaranteed, start and finish times vary and depend on the area you will be working in.

Please be aware that a Friday is the same as a Monday with regards to the hours worked.

The work is quite varied, landfill collections, food processing plants and abattoirs, so being able to deal with some quite strong smells is a must.

We are looking for hard working, professional drivers who are willing to get their hands dirty and get the job done, in a professional manner, filling out paperwork, daily vehicle checks, abiding by tachograph rules and up keep of the vehicles, like I said earlier, it is full time Monday to Friday.

HGV Mechanic/Technician

The Company:

William Gilder Ltd has grown from modest provisions into a successful and sustainable provider of specialist waste transport and treatment services. We service and maintain our own fleet of around forty articulated tractor units and fifty vacuum tankers. In addition, we also offer maintenance and repair facilities to third party external clients.

We are currently seeking a HGV mechanic to work 45 hours a week which includes paid lunch breaks. Ideally looking for 7am to 5pm however can be flexible if necessary. Ability to work overtime on Saturday’s desirable.

You will be working in a team of highly skilled and experienced HGV mechanics on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles. The success applicant will be required to undertake the following duties:

• Six weekly vehicle inspections
• General servicing and pre-planned maintenance
• Reactive maintenance as required
• MOT preparation and presentation
• Correction of running defects
• To follow instruction and direction from the Workshop Foreman
• Carry out best and safe working practices

The work is varied and will include training opportunities to increase your skill set and knowledge.

JOB ALERT - William Gilder Ltd is currently looking for an experienced Hiab driver to drive one of our temporary trackway vehicles. The right person will hold a minimum of category C licence but ideally you would hold a C+E licence and an up to date DCPC card.

We can offer Hiab training if your licence has expired but experience in operating a HIAB in ALL WEATHER conditions is a must.

Now the real bit..

This is a very busy and demanding role, you will see early mornings and late nights, rain or shine.

It is essential that the trackway is laid as it is the linch pin to our operation, we need proactive positive people with a can do attitude and a good sense of humour. You will be working on your own most of the time so communication with the office is key, as is the ability to read and follow maps to remote field locations, you will have your own truck and be required to do up to 4 nights out per week, some weeks you might be back every night, others you’ll be away all week.

It will be your responsibility to grease the crane and make sure the vehicle is kept in a clean roadworthy condition and fill out all relevant paperwork, daily checks and abide by tachograph regulations.

Pay is dependant upon experience, 28 days holiday, uniform is provided and company pension is available to sign up to.
