Yesterday it was our pleasure to represent Corroconsult at the Parkside Primary Careers Fayre.

We know that children engage best with hands-on and visual representation so we developed a number of basic experiments to show the children how coatings and cathodic protection work, series and parallel circuits and a real-time demonstration of the effects of stray current corrosion.

We discussed the potential for worldwide travel, immersing yourselves in different cultures and challenging environments - from deserts to jungles to offshore.

It is important for us as a company to inspire not only the next generation of corrosion engineers, but to stimulate interest in STEM careers in general.

Aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) play a major part in everyday life for Corroconsult personnel and we hope that through our continued participation with events such as these that children can see the potential in pursuing a STEM career.

Corroconsult UK Limited are delighted to announce our Corporate Partnership with Nature’s SAFE.

Nature’s SAFE is one of Europe’s dedicated facilities capable of the long-term storage of live cells from animal species that are at the greatest risk of extinction.

Working with leading reproductive scientists and cryobiologists, they use state-of-the-art methods to preserve cells in a way that maintains viability, allowing them to be thawed and used to establish pregnancies, restoring endangered animal species.

Nature’s SAFE, through its Living Biobank, is on a mission to safeguard these endangered animal populations for future generations and to realise our vision of a healthy planet.

Our initial contribution to this worthy charity ensures that we guarantee the preservation of one species from extinction, which is only a small step towards protecting the biodiversity of our planet, but the first on a journey that we are incredibly excited to be a part of.

Plant A Fence Events; Weston Park, Chillington Hall & Stafford Horse Trials

A weekend of Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country. We shared a great deal of satisfaction and pride as a sponsor of the amazing equine and human athletes who crossed the beautiful parkland at Weston Park on Sunday the 5th of April 2021. Unfortunately, no spectators were able to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions.

However, the recommencement of the sport has been long awaited and hopefully we will be able to continue with the thrill packed weekends keeping to safe protocol.

The team at Plant-a-Fence made every effort to ensure the event on the 26th & 27th of June 2021 ran smoothly and what a fantastic weekend it was! The BE Championships Area Festival took place in the wonderful grounds of Chillington Hall. All three phases were exceptional, and we want to congratulate the winners as the sponsors of the BE80 Area Festival Champions and the BE90 Area Festival Qualifier.

We are extremely proud to be supporting Will Jenkins Racing in the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship. Will showed an impressive performance this past weekend at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk. Snetterton is one of the more difficult circuits, but that didn’t stop Will from coming away with three podiums!

Will’s next race will be at Brands Hatch on the 26/27 June, and we hope to see him back on the podium with some more trophies! We wish him the best of luck.

Will Jenkins: “I’m absolutely over the moon. I came to Snetterton determined to get my first overall podium finish in Ginetta Juniors, so to then come away with three is more than I could have ever hoped for from the weekend and I’m delighted.”

“Qualifying was a strong start and that got us into the mix at the front. The racing was really close fought and there were a lot of tough battles out there, but the Elite Motorsport car was fantastic. A huge thank you them and all of my sponsors and partners for their support.”
