Thermserve is proud to have been selected by TIMET, a PCC company, to provide a plant wide water-cooling system for their new titanium melt facility in Ravenswood, West Virginia, USA. The system will provide all furnaces and process equipment with cooled, chemically treated water. Thermserve’s scope includes engineering design, manufacture, and installation. The facility is due to be completed in Q4 of 2024 Steven Hodgkiss, Managing Director of Thermserve commented, “We are extremely proud to have been selected to supply such a prestigious project, to be chosen was testament to the hard work of Thermserve’s team. We look forward to a successful project, supporting TIMET and hope it forms the foundation of a long-lasting relationship.

Thermserve have commissioned its largest ever forge furnace, installed at the AFRC ( Advanced Form Research Centre – part of Strathclyde University). The furnace which is a key component in the forging cell known as the “Future Forge” allows for industrial size trials to be carried out in laboratory conditions. The furnace is gas fired, fitted with high efficiency burners and a state-of-the-art control system which allows for various combustion ratios to be configured to best suit the work in the furnace....
