PLEASE DON’T NEGLECT REGULAR SERVICING!
Over the past 3 weeks we have had 4 cars land with us on the back of recovery trucks. All with total engine failures. The reason, poor servicing intervals on the customers behalf. Its easy to get caught up in the media spin about the cost of living crisis. But when you tell a person their family runabout has just went from a £4k or more asset to a £500 scrapper beyond economic value to repair. The look of despair tells it all. Even an intermittent oil change makes such a difference to an engines lifespan.

We love all the different generations of MINI! What gives us a warm fuzzy glow is seeing the MINIs actually pass from generation to generation, in this case from father to son. This gen 2 was in for extensive remedial work to keep it running sweet, including timing chain, seals and pipes, not to mention the dreaded front subframe which was replaced with a new unit and polybushed for pin point steering.

This 2024 diary just appeared in our office, we think a customer has left it behind when dropping or collecting their vehicle. No name on it but strong indicators of the type of work they perform. If it belongs to you let me know and we can hold or post it out to you.

I honestly despair when i see first hand what some specialist garages claim to be acceptable. This R55 Cooper S was in today for major surgery and a bad oil leak. On stripping the oil filter housing off the engine block we soon discovered why. Mr silicone was at his work. For anyone to put a car back together like this is a sin. For £50 of gaskets this would have been fixed first time. The work involved getting to this to repair is tedious so why not do it right
