A week of golf's

⚪ White Mk7 golf in for sill patch left and right at door edge. Rotten sill area cut out and repaired, painted back in to match and rust treated on inside

🔵 Blue mk6 golf in for right side sill patch, rotten area cut out and new piece welded back in and painted again along with iner rust treatment

🔴 Red Mk5 golf in for 2 complete sills. Inner sills got patched along with rust treatment and welded in. Finished off with primer and cobra stone chip protection

Sometimes it’s better to start fresh ✅
Navara came for a “small patch” but after inspection the rear half section of the chasssis was very weak and not worth repairing.

Chasssis was cut off at the rear of cab and new chassis legs were made up from 5mm RHS finished off with red oxide and black

A busy end to 2024!

Last few jobs of 2024 were some of my biggest this year. I had a 1999 discovery 2, with severely rotten middle section of the chassis, and a few other rotten body holes and sills.

As well as a 2013 plate Nissan navara, with the typical cracked chassis issues. Previous welding had been done at a time of her life, a lot of work was required. After a good clean, a fresh coat of wax oil, and a strengthen up, she was back together and back on the road.

Lastly an e36 3 series BMW was in for some patches around the front arches and boot floor. Nicely under sealed for the customer, to ensure a smart finish.

🔥Classic Peugeot in for some under body repairs and protection.

✅Not bad for a 1992 vehicle, some newer vehicles are in a lot worse condition.

✂️Old rotten body cut away, and new plate welded in. Sealed up and finished off with dinitrol and lanoguard (as per costumers request).

Tow bar removed and bumpers brackets custom made due to original being broken and rotten.

Bottom radiator pannel replaced with 50mm box section (customer’s request) as new original panel’s are silly money 💰 💰💰

Good too see another wee classic saved and back on the road for many years to come!👍

Complete under body sealing also available, even if no welding is required as this helps protect vehicle from nasty road salt and dirt😁

QUICK turnaround MOT failure ❌ in getting patched up. And back to test centre

Vehicles with visible 👀 repairs can be arranged to be colour coded back to original paint colour by local auto painter 🎨
However this one was finished off with black stone chip.

Job in last week was a Nissan Navara which had snapped at the rear , old chassis was cut away and a new chassis made up from 6 mm rectangular box and welded in place , finished off with primmer, gloss coated and treated with wax oil
