A night of roulette, blackjack and other games with prizes to be won on the night - and above all, a brilliant night. Last year's event proved hugely popular and tickets flew out the door! Grab them while you can.

Minibus transport to and from the town is available on a first come, first served basis for booking via Meikle Ferry Station.

Your ticket permits entry to this private event and includes one entry into our prize draw raffle to be held on the night.

Play money for the casino tables will be available to purchase on the night from our committee. Funds raised go towards St Duthus Football Club senior and youth teams.

As part of our planned growth an opportunity exists within Metalwork UK for an experienced Estimator with a background in Structural steelwork and Architectural metalwork for projects of all sizes in the construction industry. The position is permanent and full-time.

All works are bespoke, and to meet client requirements, from the initial design phase, to develop design intents into workable solutions. Due to an increasing order book, we are seeking a pro-active individual with suitable experience in the steel industry to join our project team in the Scottish Highlands.

Metalwork UK’s product range includes, structural steelwork, including steel frame buildings, steelwork refurbishment and repair works, and metalwork packages including staircases and balustrades, and decking.

𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
• To analyse and interpret tender specifications, engineers and architects’ drawings, bills of quantities, client’s designs for all steelwork and metalwork enquiries
• To use the information identified to create material take off sheets and a Tender Cost Build Up to use to create a formal tender document
• To assess the site installation requirements of each project to build into costs
• To propose alternatives to specs to reduce cost and/or improve quality and efficiency
• To visit construction sites to carry out basic surveys, if required, to enable pricing
• To Produce written detailed quotations to present to the client
• To follow up submitted quotes
• To be accurate in all aspects of work

𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞
• Experience of working as a structural steelwork and metalwork estimator is preferred
• Good understanding of technical drawings, construction methods and engineering principles
• Excellent numeracy and computer skills
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Self-motivated and driven
• Team player who can work on own initiative
• Good personal communication skills, verbal and written

Salary is negotiable dependent on experience and contracted hours
