Ham Hill Visitor Centre Wins South West LABC Building Excellence Award

We're delighted to see the Ham Hill Visitor Centre recognised as the South West winner in the Best Public/Community Building category at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2026.

Delivered for Somerset Council, the project has created a high-quality, accessible visitor destination at Ham Hill Country Park, bringing together a café, exhibition and education spaces, visitor facilities and a dedicated Changing Places toilet within a building designed to respond sensitively to its unique landscape setting.

Method provided MEP engineering services for the scheme, helping to deliver a sustainable building that combines low-carbon building services with a fabric-first design approach to support long-term environmental performance.

Congratulations to Somerset Council and the entire project team, including Saunders Boston Architects, Skinner Construction Ltd, Aileen Shackle Landscape Design, Ward Williams, JRC Consulting Engineering, Smith and Jones Design Consultants and Heritage Leisure Designs, on this well-deserved recognition.

The project will now progress to the LABC Grand Finals in London in January 2027. Good luck to everyone involved.

🎉 Award-Winning Success for Keynsham Riverside 🎉

A fantastic achievement for Keynsham Riverside, which was named PPF Project of the Year (West) at the recent Procure Partnerships Framework Awards 2026.

The project has played a key role in the regeneration of Keynsham town centre, transforming vacant commercial units into thriving new spaces for local businesses and community uses. By bringing new activity, investment and opportunities into the heart of the town, the scheme is helping to create lasting social and environmental value for the local community.

Congratulations to VINCI Building UK , Bath & North East Somerset Council and the wider project team on this well-deserved recognition.
