Every Ionic Hydra Waterfed Pole includes dual Guardian Protector glass fibre handle sections, designed to conform to the BS8020 standard and provide secondary protection in the event of unforeseen electrical contact.
Hydra pole systems have also undergone additional high-voltage testing up to 50,000 volts.
Important Safety Notice:
The primary protection when using high-reach exterior cleaning poles is a suitable risk assessment. Identify overhead power lines and other electrical hazards, establish a safe working envelope, and maintain required clearance distances at all times.
Guardian Protector insulated glass fibre handle sections provide an additional layer of protection against unforeseen electrical contact. They must not be relied on as the primary protection or used as a substitute for safe working distances, proper planning, or electrical hazard controls.
Never use high-reach exterior cleaning poles within an unsafe distance of high-voltage overhead power lines.
