This week at IEW…

This week, our new Cirris 5150 ATE with Easy-Wire software arrived, giving us cutting-edge test equipment to support more flexible testing and increase capacity. Jake identified this as a strong option to improve our test capability and increase test capacity, he is excited to get started with building new jigs for PCB test.

This opportunity was identified following our visit to Southern Manufacturing & Electronics in February, where we visited the Combined Test Solutions (CTS) stand and explored new ways to improve testing within our business. Thank you to Combined Test Solutions (CTS) for supplying the 5150, it adds to our Cirrus CH2 ATE. This is certainly another practical step taken by IEW in strengthening our testing capability and supporting our customers through continued improvement.

As part of IEW’s ongoing focus on quality and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes, we’re currently reviewing investment in the Cirris 5150 ATE test kit, which would add to our existing CH2 test kit, to provide more flexible testing capabilities. We’re seeing it in action at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics26 on the Combined Test Solutions stand B145.

This investment supports our five-year digital strategy and Kaizen approach, helping improve how we manufacture by reducing and streamlining test processes through digitalisation.
