🎉 Celebrating 25 years at Lyte

Richard joined us in August 2001 at our former Ystradgynlais factory, starting on the multi-punch for step ladders.

Over the years, he became Charge Hand across Step Ladders, Extension Ladders and Loft Ladders, before moving into the Fitting Shop 21 years ago.

Richard says he has really enjoyed his time at Lyte and shared plenty of laughs and memorable moments with colleagues.

Thank you, Richard, for 25 years of hard work, experience and commitment. Congratulations from everyone at Lyte! 👏

Before someone climbs a ladder today, send them this.

A pre-use check takes less than a minute, but it could identify damage before someone leaves the ground.

Check the:
✓ Feet
✓ Stiles
✓ Rungs or treads
✓ Locks and hinges
✓ Safety labels

If anything is damaged, loose or missing, do not use the ladder. Take it out of service and report it.

Falls from height remained the most common cause of fatal workplace accidents in Great Britain during 2025/26. The latest HSE figures are a reminder that familiar tasks still deserve our full attention.
