"Can you overclad an asbestos cement roof?" It comes up a lot, and it is worth answering carefully.

Overcladding over an existing asbestos cement roof can be a sensible alternative to a full strip and disposal. It improves weather and thermal performance and avoids disturbing the existing sheets. But it is never automatic. The structure has to be checked for the extra load, and anything near asbestos must follow the correct regulations and be handled by qualified people.

The golden rule: nobody cuts or fixes anything until the asbestos position and the structural capacity are both confirmed.

What is the difference between MetFloor and ComFlor? Both are composite floor decking, just different brands. ComFlor is Tata Steel, MetFloor is CMF. The profiles are broadly comparable, so it usually comes down to spec, tables and availability. We supply both, so we point you to whatever suits.
