Led by Monika, our Production and Quality Manager, with support from consultant John Rutter at ELB Solutions Ltd, the result highlights the strength of our quality management system and our ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards across every project.

The audit was also a great opportunity to look ahead. BSI Auditor, Bill provided valuable guidance on the upcoming ISO 9001:2026 revisions, and our team will be progressively integrating these revised requirements over the next two years to ensure a controlled, seamless transition.

Ali had a fantastic morning visiting the Engineering Design Show (EDS) in Coventry.

One of the highlights of the morning was attending an engaging panel talk on Design for Manufacture (DFM). A key discussion point that really resonated with our us was the limitation of relying on automated AI design tools for complex engineering projects.

While digital tools have their place, nothing replaces experienced engineering when evaluating real-world tooling, material flow, and mould behavior.

Getting the design right first time through proper DFM and physical prototyping might require careful consideration upfront, but it ultimately saves substantial time, prevents tool modifications, and protects your budget in the long run.

Quality control sits at the very heart of our operations at CJ Tool & Mouldings. For complex components with deep internal features and critical wall geometries, waiting until a part completely cools can risk subtle thermal distortion or shrinkage.

As soon as these components come off the press, our team places them straight onto custom cooling fixtures. Holding the parts securely while they cool ensures the bottom profile and interlocking geometry hold their exact dimensions, batch after batch.

Once stabilised, the parts are inspected and carefully packed into boxes, fully compliant with our ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and ready for seamless assembly.
