Through the lens of our OGI cameras, emissions completely invisible to the naked eye become something we can see, measure, and act on.

Ever wondered how we actually "see" a gas leak? ๐Ÿ‘€

Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) uses specialist infrared cameras tuned to detect gases invisible to the naked eye. Operating within the medium wave infrared (MWIR) spectrum, our cameras pick up the unique absorption wavelengths of specific gases, turning an invisible leak into a clear, visible plume on screen, in real time.

It's non-contact, safe, and efficient, no need to physically approach or touch a component to know something's wrong.

Our EyeCGas Multi doesn't stop at detection either. It goes a step further with built-in quantification, measuring exactly how much gas is escaping (concentration in ppm, mass flow in g/h), not just where.

That's the difference between spotting a problem and actually understanding it.

Eyes in the sky ๐Ÿš๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Our latest drone job took us to a solar farm in Scotland, 500m from an airport, for a thermal drone inspection across an array of over 14,000 PV panels.

Thermal imaging lets us spot underperforming or faulty panels quickly, hotspots, cell defects, connection issues, all without a single person needing to walk the site panel by panel. For a site this size, that's a huge time saving over manual inspection, and gives clients the clear, documented evidence they need for insurance and asset performance records.

Not every fault gives itself away to the naked eye. Thermography reveals temperature variations invisible under normal conditions, spotting issues that would otherwise stay hidden until it's too late.

We use it to identify:

๐Ÿงฑ Insulation gaps and heat loss across buildings and infrastructure

Sunny skies (and some curious company) on site last week at an anaerobic digestion facility, tracking down fugitive emissions before they become a bigger problem.

For many biogas sites, LDAR isn't just good practice, it's a permit requirement. But there's more to it than compliance. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, a real safety risk if it builds up unnoticed, and quite simply, gas that's escaped is gas that isn't being put to use. Catching leaks early reduces risk, reduces emissions, and reduces cost, all at once.

Not every site visit comes with a goose es**rt, but we'll take it ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿชฟ
