From 1 July 2026, new steel quotas and tariffs risk placing further pressure on British manufacturing.

At IAE, steel is a core material in everything we produce for UK agriculture. Increased costs and restricted supply will inevitably impact pricing, competitiveness, and ultimately the distributors and farmers we serve.

At a time when manufacturers are already facing high energy costs and supply chain challenges, these measures could weaken the resilience of UK industry and rural economies.

We remain committed to British manufacturing—but urge policymakers to ensure the right balance is struck to protect both steel producers and the industries that depend on them.

Flexibility is key when it comes to livestock handling 💪🐑

This multi-purpose sheep handling system can be recreated using standard IAE products, allowing you to build a setup that works for you ⬇️

Using 6-rail hurdles and access gates of your choosing, holding pens can be configured to guide sheep smoothly towards the handling area.

Fully sheeted/radiused hurdles create a curved system ideal for awkward angles and turning stock 180 degrees.

The addition of shedding hurdles allows sheep to be diverted away from the group or directed towards other parts of the system, such as a footbath or sheep handler.

➡️Systems like these can also be paired with the IAE OviHandler or integrated with existing sheep handling equipment, creating a practical solution that works for your farm.
