On behalf of Alan Heaths family please see below details of Alan’s funeral.
Saturday 6th June @ 11:30am
St Luke’s Church, Endon then onto Heakley Hall, Norton Green. This will be a celebration of Alan’s life, so please bring with you your happy memories and stories of this truly wonderful gent.
The family are asking for numbers for the caterers, so if you can respond they would really appreciate it.
Let’s give Alan ( Beefy ) the send off he deserves 🥰

Sharing the below message on behalf of the family of Alan Heath:

Thank you all so much for your kind words, messages and memories of Dad. We’ve been reading through them together as a family and passing them on to Mum (Daphne), and it truly means more to us than we can put into words.
We are all absolutely heartbroken at the loss of Dad. He was such a big part of so many people’s lives, and seeing how many of you thought so highly of him and have taken the time to share your memories has been a real comfort to us.
Dad genuinely loved people — and he loved all of you just as much as he did us. His time at Pidduck’s was without a doubt one of the happiest parts of his life. He took so much pride in what he did and the relationships he built along the way..... ....
He was always there to help anyone, whether it was with steel, trailers, advice or just a chat. That was just who he was. He still kept his massive file full of steel information, and we keep saying he’d happily be back on the phone now, ringing round trying to track down a bit of box section or a certain length of steel for someone.
It’s clear from all your messages that he’ll be remembered not just as a great worker, but as a genuinely kind, generous and unforgettable man.
Thank you again to every single one of you for your support and for sharing your memories of him — it really does mean everything to us at such a difficult time.

It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news of the very sad passing of Alan Heath, former director of Pidduck and Beardmore. Alan fell asleep on Thursday 30th April 2026, after suffering a long battle of ill health. He had a huge personality and a heart of gold. A well known gent ( and what a gent he was ) throughout the steel and engineering industries, what Alan didn’t know wasn’t worth knowing. I had the pleasure of knowing him for the best part of 40 years. From all of us at William Mellard’s, we send our deepest condolences to the Heath family. Sleep tight Alan, it was a pleasure 💜
