A few highlights from Friday night's fantastic Oktoberfest at the Riverside Stadium with Southern Asset Management! 📸

From steins and bratwurst to live music, lederhosen and plenty of laughter, what an incredible evening it was!

A huge thank you once again to everyone who joined us, supported the event and helped make it such a success, all in aid of the MFC Foundation. 💙

It was brilliant to see so many local businesses come together for such a worthwhile cause.

𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐅𝐂 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 🍻

We’re swapping the usual networking drinks for steins this week as Oktoberfest takes over the Riverside Stadium, all in support of the MFC Foundation.

And we’re delighted to say the event is now completely SOLD OUT! 🎉

The MFC Foundation does fantastic work across Teesside, using the power of football to support local people and communities through education, employment, health and wellbeing, and social inclusion programmes.

A huge thank you to everyone who has booked a table and helped us get behind such an important local cause. We’re looking forward to a packed Riverside, plenty of Bavarian food and drink, an Oompah band, a few familiar football faces and, most importantly, raising as much as we can for the Foundation.

A special thanks to Southern Asset Management for teaming up with us to make the evening happen.

We were delighted to be part of the Eastgate Engineering & Lakers Golf Day at Wynyard Golf Club, a brilliant day filled with golf, great food, friendly competition, and an amazing fundraising drive for two amazing causes our lovely hospice, Zoe’s Place and the amazing Teesside Hospice 💛

𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 & 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘆 - 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 £𝟭,𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀! 🏌️

Earlier this month we welcomed delegates from across our network to Wynyard Golf Club for the Eastgate Engineering and Laker Vent Engineering Limited Golf Day. A fantastic day of golf, food, and friendly competition, all in support of two charities very close to our hearts.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, we raised an incredible £𝟭,𝟭𝟱𝟬 on the day, and we were delighted to have presented cheques for £575 each to Teesside Hospice and Zoe's Place Baby Hospice Middlesbrough yesterday. 💸

Teesside Hospice supports around 3,000 people across the Tees Valley affected by terminal illness, helping them make the most of every day. Zoe's Place has spent over 30 years caring for babies and children with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, giving families a place to turn when they need it most. Both rely on the generosity of businesses and individuals like you to keep doing this vital work.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the day, to Wynyard Golf Club for hosting us, and to our partners at Lakers for helping make it such a success.

We're pleased to announce that Kyle Smith has joined Eastgate Engineering's board of directors as Managing Director.

Kyle brings over 20 years' experience in engineering and construction leadership. Most recently Operations Director at SES Engineering Services, he led a 70-strong multidisciplinary team delivering £80m+ in annual turnover across complex, live-environment projects. His career also spans senior delivery roles at Asta Engineering Services, Wates Group and Balfour Beatty, including landmark schemes such as Central Square in Leeds and 4 Kingdom Street in London.

Eastgate Engineering, a Waterford-based engineering and construction business, intends to almost treble its annual revenue to €150 million by 2030.

Founded by David Brennan in 2015, Eastgate Engineering employs 500 people and recorded revenue of €57.9 million in the year ending March 2026, with offices in Waterford City, England and Scotland.

Today is Cycle for Leon! 🩷🚲

20+ of us set off on the cycle from Redcar to Saltburn to raise money for the Irish Hospice Foundation in memory of our dear friend Leon Bourke.

There were plenty of giggles, a few falls but a lot of team spirit along the way before the ride finished at the Ship Inn.

This Friday, 4th September, we will be taking on Cycle for Leon 🚲🩷 - a 5-mile coastal bike ride from Redcar to Saltburn, in memory of our much-loved colleague and friend, Leon Bourke, who we sadly lost unexpectedly last November.

Leon was the heart of our company, and this ride is our way of doing something he loved: bringing people together. All funds raised are going to the Irish Hospice Foundation, a charity Leon supported himself through cycling. We've already raised £2,530!
