Portable Toilet Service Driver - North East England
Toilets+ Limited – Stockton on Tees
£27,500 per year – full time permanent or part time permanent (after successful probation)
20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
Overtime will be paid @ £20 per hour

We are looking for a Portable Toilet Service Driver to join the Toilets Team
As the leading provider of portable toilet hire in the North East Of England and North Yorkshire, we have over 250 units available for hire.

The important role of the Portable Toilet Service Driver

A typical Day in the life of a Toilets+ Driver includes:

· Servicing, emptying, restocking, cleaning, and delivering our portable toilets across your assigned route.
· Responsibility for checking your vehicle daily and reporting any defects to the Fleet Manager.
We pride ourselves on service reliability and overall high standards and expect our Drivers to deliver that experience to our customers, so the successful applicant will always be friendly and polite.

What you need:

· A full UK driving licence
· A good level of fitness and be able to complete manual handling duties
· Be reliable and enthusiastic with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
· Enjoy working on your own and as part of a team
· A polite and helpful manner when talking to our customers and preferably have experience working in a Tool & Plant Hire company or a Portable Toilet provider.

We offer in return:

· A 3.5T Ford or Izuzu (or similar) to complete your daily routes

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours a week with occasional overtime opportunities. The role is a full-time, permanent position for your added job security.

We are very excited to tell you about a few changes that have taken place in the last couple of months that we believe will further enhance our service offering;

We have seen unprecedented growth at Halt Hire Ltd, we have therefore taken our fleet stock holding to over 3500 products and it is rising.

We have new Diggers, Trailers, Peckers, Dumpers, Toilets, Stihl Saws, Compaction Plates, Generators, Alloy Tower and much more arriving daily.

We are also expanding our Branch Network into Yorkshire very soon.

With all that is happening we have taken the opportunity to restructure the business and we have a number of new arrivals that have taken up new & key roles within Halt Hire Ltd.

Simon Whitfield founder of Halt Hire Ltd. almost six years ago (October 2016) remains in an overall management position.

Darren Stares is the Assistant Branch Manager for the Toilet Division – Darren is also a driver, he has been with Halt for nearly two years & he organises Deliveries/Collections in addition to Organising the maintenance programme including cleaning.

Daniel Ross is new to Halt and is an experienced Hire Controller – Daniel processes On Hires & Off Hires as well managing stock takes, Damages on receipt of Off Hire and manages maintenance records.

Dave Gallagher is new to Halt Hire and is an experienced Fitter – Dave manages all the branch maintenance, working hand in glove with Daniel ensuring equipment is fit for purpose & Ready for Hire.

Gareth Neasham is new to Halt Hire and so is his Role – Gareth is the Preventative Maintenance Manager, Gareth will be conducting on site assessment of our entire fleet with a focus on our Diggers, Trailers & Dumpers. We have purchased a brand new ford transit vehicle fitted with all the spares and tools Gareth needs to service our fleet both in the depot and on site. Gareth will produce service certification as and when he services our plant. We see this as an essential role to keep our fleet young and in good condition.

Alan Evans is new to Halt Hire – Alan is an experienced fitter with over 30 years worth of experience and he covers Yorkshire for us a breakdown fitter.

Kane Gallagher is new to Halt Hire and is a fitter - Kane will assist Dave in the depot with all the maintenance of our equipment and he will also be our breakdown fitter visiting site whenever & wherever he is needed.

Phillip Mitchell is new to Halt Hire and he is a Driver – Phil will drive our toilet truck and is responsible for maintaining all of our toilet fleet.

Shane Searle has been with Halt Hire for six months and is a driver – Shane assists with deliveries/collections of the entire fleet.

Charlie Whitfield – Charlie has been with Halt for almost 5 years assisting in most roles from Hire Controller, Drivers mate and is now a Full Time Sales Representative.

We therefore have a Manager, a Hire Controller, 4 Fitters, 3 Drivers and a Sales Person trying our very best to give all of our customers the best possible service.

The role of Hire Driver

It's really important that our customers get the equipment they've hired when they want it, where they want it every time, so your role includes:

Complete safe delivery, collection and distribution of hire equipment using company vehicles - please bear in mind you will need to be able to drive a 3.5 ton vehicle, and also preferably be able to tow. This will be the bulk of your role, however you will need to be able to support the team with the below tasks.
• Carry out appropriate equipment and vehicle checks on a routine basis
• Ensure all hire fleet maintenance records are kept up to date
• Keep the workshop safe clean and tidy to company standards
• Have responsibility of the hire fleet within the branch
• Safeguard against theft of company goods
• Complete distribution of hire equipment using company vehicles
• Follow and maintain company transport policies
• Serve customers efficiently, safely and to the company policies and procedures
• Complete stock takes as required
• Complete other branch duties as requested by members of the branch management team

What you need

• Previous experience in the Hire industry would be beneficial for this role.
• hold a licence which allows you to tow
• be a team player
• have a really positive attitude
• have a genuine interest in the industry
