Has BREXIT affected your business ?
HB2G Ltd export 99% of our Business and 30% of our suppliers are EU, China or USA based.
On a recent order for various sensors sourced from the USA and China, we decided to consolidate the various shipments at my friend’s company located in Antwerp. When we decided to ship the goods to Sonatrach Refinery in Oran, the French customs refused to ship the goods using our EROI.
The reason we were informed that since leaving the EU British companies cannot ship their orders from EU ports or airports using British EROIs.
Obviously these rules mean that in future we need to bring the goods to the UK and then ship them to the final destination adding costs and time. This exercice will have of course a negative impact on our competitive advantage in our field.
I have reached for advice to our Chamber of Commerce and unfortunately received no feedback.

HB2G Ltd had a challenging week. We are processing an order for 2x 150 Kw oil free air compressors for Algiers refinery. The lead delivery time for these compressors has been a moving target. The performance Bond to be opened by Barclays has also been a nightmare of a process.

We received a second order from the same refinery for 4x AMS Emerson Communicator and monitoring systems and after months working with Emerson UK, our PO was rejected by Emerson UK internal compliance team. The reasons are unknown. Nobody visited us or visited our website, an adhoc decision made by clerks with no affinity with Business or appreciation of the fall outs which will derive from this decision.

HB2G Ltd is still surviving and thriving in this chaotic environment where supply chains are getting slower and slower and pricing of manufacturing is getting higher and higher.

HB2G Ltd is repositioning our Strategy towards preventive Maintenance and helping our customers to use existing equipment longer and help them minimise downtime and increase plant productivity.

This Strategy is paying huge Dividends.
