🚨 NEW MACHINES – STRAIGHT TO SITE! 🚨

Another couple of new additions to the Blackwood Plant Hire fleet, and these ones didn’t hang about.

Our new DV90 and DV125, supplied by Hamilton Ross Group, were ordered on Tuesday and turned around ready to head straight out to site.

A big thanks to Michael Warden and the team at Hamilton Ross Group for getting these sorted so quickly.

The DV90 has also been fitted with:

✅ Safety Shield system
✅ Swivel skip
✅ Built for safer, more efficient site operations

And there’s more to come as we continue investing in the fleet and adding the right equipment for our customers across Scotland.

We are still in awe of these new vehicles that have arrived from Sean Merrick at Volvo Trucks with custom bodies from Andover Trailers Limited

We know you may have had a sneak peek at truckfest but now these lorries are finished you can see the high spec we have added to assist our drivers and keep them safe every day

First and foremost, we hope everyone involved in the incident is OK.

We’re aware of a video currently circulating on social media involving one of our vehicles and, as our branding is clearly visible, we wanted to clarify the circumstances.

At the time of the incident, the vehicle was in the care and control of our external HGV maintenance contractor. The driver, the load being carried and the loading and securing of that load were not under the control of Blackwood Plant Hire.

As a FORS Silver accredited operator, we take road safety, vehicle compliance and the standards associated with our fleet extremely seriously. We expect those same high standards from anyone entrusted with our vehicles.

The incident has been raised directly with the contractor concerned and is being dealt with accordingly.

We appreciate that our name and branding are clearly visible in the footage, so we felt it was important to clarify the circumstances and avoid any misunderstanding.

Most importantly, our thoughts are with everyone involved and we sincerely hope everyone is OK.

🚧 Week 2 Update

Good progress as the Blackwood Plant Hire Limited team continues work on this major rail project in the West of Scotland.

Our Komatsu fleet is putting in the work with Blackwood Site Support also keeping the job moving with essential site equipment alongside it.
