🎄 A huge THANK YOU to Carnell! 🎄

We’re sending a massive thank you to civil engineering company Carnell for their wonderful donation of food and drink for Christmas! 🎁✨

We are truly grateful for their ongoing support - it means so much to our community, and we cannot thank them enough for providing some tasty festive fare for our companions this season.

Support like this helps make Christmas brighter for everyone at Emmaus Cambridge. Thank you, Carnell! 💚🙏

AGC hosted the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) and National Highways at the M62 Lofthouse parapet and VRS scheme👷. This visit offered a fantastic opportunity to showcase the complexities of the works and demonstrate our technical capabilities to key industry stakeholders.

The ORR plays a vital role in protecting road users by ensuring safety, value for money and strong performance. At Carnell, we fully support this mission by embedding quality into everything we do. We are proud members of GIRI (Get it Right Initiative) and the National Highways Quality Steering Group, both of which drive continuous improvement and error reduction across our industry.

Rewinding to an incredible day at Dunsfold Test Track🚧

We teamed up with industry partners to showcase cutting-edge highways innovation, from StoneMaster to SmartScan and more.

Plus, we loved welcoming students from Jigsaw Trust to explore future careers in our sector 🛣️

Collaboration. Technology. Inspiring the next generation.

As a twist on the usual careers events for students, we took part in a Teachers Encounter Summit promoting highways careers to teachers👩‍🏫

We linked up with representatives from several schools in Staffordshire, telling them about the many opportunities in the highways sector. We shared the key roles, skills, and entry pathways, highlighting ways that these could be linked to the curriculum.

Come with us to our supply chain briefing day alongside Route One Infrastructure Limited. This event gave us the opportunity to engage with some of our suppliers on what is important to us and how we can be a better client🤝

Key topics were our pipeline of work and the golden threads, which is how we approach everything we do: Be SAFE // Deliver, Learn, Improve // Invest in our People // Be Sustainable.

We're excited about the road ahead as we continue to drive innovation across our supply chain.

Our colleague, Wayne Smith and his friend, are set to take on a tandem skydive in support of St Catherine's Hospice, Lancashire✈️

The hospice provides end-of-life care across Central Lancashire, helping families both at the hospice and in their own homes. “They must have helped most families in Leyland and surrounding areas – it’s a charity very close to our hearts,” they said. With running costs of over £5m annually, every donation makes a real difference.

If you’d like to support them in this adventure, please donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/wayne-smith-and-gazz-johnson-1?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=EM

Are you ready to embark on an exciting new journey? If you have already left or if you’re leaving the armed forces within the next 3 to 6 months, Carnell WANTS YOU!

Chevron Traffic Management are hosting a recruitment event at the National Memorial Arboretum on 22 April 2025. Operations Manager Dean Shepherd, an armed forces veteran himself, will be on hand to discuss the opportunities we have at Carnell and his career in the highways industry.

In addition, there are 12 guaranteed traffic management roles for Chevron with two weeks of training provided by Daruma Group taking place at WJ premises in Stoke commencing 19 May.

Also in attendance will be British Forces Resettlement Services - BFRS, a social enterprise that works in support of the armed forces community.
