Coming soon!

The latest release from Quark-elec is right around the corner!

Meet our A054T Portable Class B+ AIS Transponder. Much like our A053T, this will give the freedom of not requiring a permanent costly or complicated install. But it will add a Class B+ SOTDMA function, along with a built in display showing battery level and charge status, Bluetooth and Wifi status, configured MMSI and Call Sign and status visuals for the RX, GPS and TX.

Keep your eyes peeled to our social media pages and website for more news and the release in the coming weeks!

Trying to decide between an AIS Receiver and an AIS Transponder? In this video, we break down the key differences, the pros and cons of each system, and help you understand which AIS setup is best for your type of boating.

We cover:
• What AIS (Automatic Identification System) actually is
• How AIS Receivers work
• How AIS Transponders work
• The advantages and limitations of each
• Which option is best for coastal cruising, offshore sailing, fishing, and recreational boating

Whether you’re looking to improve situational awareness, increase visibility to nearby vessels, or simply understand marine AIS technology better, this guide will help you make the right decision for your boat.

AIS is one of the most valuable marine safety tools available today — but choosing the right setup depends entirely on how and where you operate.

If you have questions about AIS systems or want advice on the best setup for your vessel, leave a comment below — we’re happy to help.
