👋 Meet the ‘A’ Team!

Say hello to the Climatec Group’s Business Development Managers, Samantha, Tamsin and Steve. Working closely with the group’s management team and our trade installation partners, Samantha and Steve with Climatec Window’s customers and Tamsin with Alu-tec’s. All three are extremely knowledgeable of the window industry and the Group’s uPVC and Aluminium products and hardware and are the first point of contact for our trade customers. They also provide important feedback from the retail and installation sector while liaising with our customers on a day to day basis.

And their favourite uPVC or Aluminium product?

Sam loves the Period Door range. “The bespoke possibilities give my customers greater scope to meet homeowner’s requirements and offers them something genuinely different to help win work on more than just price

Steve's favourite product is the Rio Flush sash. “I like that we have a modern window with multiple joint options that I can offer my customers. Homeowners can have a choice of appearance that suits their preferences as well as budgets!”

And finally Tamsin champions the Aluminium IconiK bifold door. “Homeowners love the slim sightlines and the smooth operation of these doors and our ali trade customers enjoy the practical benefits of having the clip in beads for easier glazing and quicker installation of the product. So it’s a win win all round!”

The Climatec Group are now in their 7th year of manufacturing AOVs (Automatic Opening Vents), also known as Smoke Vents. A life saving product with a motorised chain that automatically opens the window or door during a fire. These are commonly found in the hallways or stairwells of offices or multi-occupancy buildings to clear the smoke for people to leave the building safely.

Both Alu-tec and Climatec Windows are certified to manufacture these products in our REHAU and AluK profiles, so depending on your requirements we can provide you with uPVC and aluminium windows and doors made to the smoke and heat control standard EN:12101.

Meet the Team 👋. Let us introduce you to John, the Group's Product Development Manager.

John has worked for the company since its inception in 1993 and if you ask customers and colleagues, they would all agree John knows everything about windows and doors!! We even have one customer that has nicknamed him Johnny Google!

In his own words, John describes his current role as “Challenging! I’m constantly trying to keep up with an ever changing industry to ensure we have the best products to suit our customers”. John looks at quality, performance and appearance (eg authenticity or modern design) of products as well as making sure they suit everybody’s price point. There is also the continuous testing of products to make sure they meet building regulations and third party accreditations.

And when his not working, John likes to jump on his bike and enjoy cycling trips with his friends. He is also a big football fan, following Liverpool predominantly whilst also keeping an eye on local team Southend United.

Alu-tec's new brochures have arrived today!

We've been working with aluminium supplier AluK to produce a retail friendly brochure for our customers. This new brochure focuses solely on the products we manufacture here in Southend and has been designed with homeowners in mind. And if any technical information is required there is a QR code on each product page that will take you to a product card/data sheet for the extra information.

The brochure is available to download from the Information Centre in Alu-tec's website if you want to have a little look at it in more detail!

These windows and doors were finished in one of the colours from AluK's Spectrum range - Gris 2800. The Spectrum range features textured, special effects and metallic colours, and we were pleased to be able to manufacture all the windows, the front door plus the bifold and sliding doors on this house in this particular finish for our customer, and homeowner.
