Intumescent seals are designed for use in applications where, in the event of a fire, the seal is required to expand to fill a gap, saving lives and allowing people the time to evacuate.
In military applications, however, the timing of that expansion is critical - with the ultimate goal being to protect personnel from noxious gases and smoke, often a more serious threat than fire. Our in-house technology enables us to model accurately to predict failure points and then manufacture to meet trigger temperatures, giving people the best chance of survival.
