At Pascoe, we are committed to developing greener technologies. This is why we're actively involved in collaborative research initiatives and industry forums, not only to learn but also to share our knowledge and expertise to drive the development and adoption of sustainable maritime technologies.
We are delighted to announce that together with Solent University and Osprey Research Limited, we have been awarded £300,000 in Government funding to develop clean engine technology for powering small vessels with a new type of engine using ammonia as fuel.
The project is part of the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition Round 4 (CMDC4), funded by the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom and delivered by Innovate UK. CMDC4 is part of the Department’s UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE) programme, a £206m initiative focused on developing the technology necessary to decarbonise the UK domestic maritime sector.
