Today, 1st April, marks the start of Global Asbestos Awareness Week.

The initiative was designed to raise awareness of the dangers of asbestos exposure and share important information on how to manage asbestos safely.

Although asbestos is now banned in the UK, it can still be present in buildings built or refurbished before 2000.

There is no safe level of asbestos exposure. All work on asbestos-containing materials requires specific training and controls. We recommend seeking expert advice if you're considering carrying out works that may disturb asbestos.

We're excited to share that our Respiratory Servicing Unit (RSU) has been shortlisted for the BSIF Product Innovation Award! 🎉

The RSU allows for respiratory equipment to be cleaned, serviced and repaired in a safe, controlled environment at any location across the UK. It also features a dedicated face fit testing area to allow face fits to be carried out efficiently on site.

The mobile unit has been designed with convenience and compliance in mind. It makes it easier for employers to manage respiratory protective equipment (RPE) responsibilities, and reduces project downtime because all services can be carried out on site.

If you have a decontamination unit (DCU) on site, remember to drain all water from the unit at the end of each day to prevent it from freezing overnight and to avoid burst pipes and costly repairs.
