A customer brought me this Tedder box and stated that the bearing had worn the casting of the gearbox and was no longer sitting in the correct position.
The bonus of having a big 4 chuck lathe is that i can install parts like the gearbox into the lathe and work out a Center on either axis.
I bored out the gearbox and then made a tight sleeve for the bearing, I then measured and cut a circlip groove to retain the bearing, checked fitment and welded it all in place.
Another big saving on new parts ππ»
