This Volkswagen Golf came into us after suddenly losing coolant 🔧

The coolant was coming out as quick as we were putting it in. Once we had completed a strip down, we found the water pump had excessive movement in it which was the cause of the leak. While inspecting everything further we also found an oil leak coming from the main crank seal.

To get the car sorted properly we carried out:
• New timing belt & water pump
• New crank seal
• Full head gasket test to make sure the engine hadn’t overheated

Thankfully the head gasket test came back all clear and the customer is now back on the road with everything repaired properly 💪

⚠️ Wetbelt Awareness ⚠️

We’re seeing more and more wetbelt-related engine failures lately — especially on Ford Ecoboost and the 1.2 petrol engines found in Vauxhall, Peugeot & Citroën models.

There are other wetbelt engines out there too, but these are some of the most common ones we deal with in the workshop.

Manufacturers have service intervals, but from experience we strongly recommend changing them earlier to avoid costly repairs later on.

This 2013 Land Rover Defender came in with the customer reporting the front brakes were metal on metal… turns out the rears weren’t much better either 👀

Both front and rear discs & pads had completely worn down, with the caliper pistons seized from excessive wear and heat. One of the photos really shows how thin the front face of the disc had become 😬

To get everything back up to scratch we fitted:
• New discs & pads all round
• New calipers with fresh fitting kits
• New O/S/R wheel hub due to excessive corrosion

Big job completed and now braking properly again as it should 💪🔧

Busy one on this Mini JCW 🔧

In for a solid round of upgrades:

• Whiteline rear anti-roll bar
• Front lower arms replaced
• All 4 wheels refurbished in hyper silver
• AEM strut brace fitted
• Free off rear camber and toe bolts

While freeing off the seized rear toe & camber bolts (very common issue on these), the trailing arm unfortunately cracked due to the seizure — something we see quite a lot on Minis.

No corners cut though — fitted a brand new genuine trailing arm, got everything back together with fresh hardware, and finished off the AEM brace and Whiteline setup 👌

All sorted and ready to go back out driving better than ever 💪
