Companies, more than ever before, are facing a growing urgency to lower their carbon footprint and update their vehicles. 🚚

The Zero Emissions Truck and Van grants and Depot Charging Scheme (DCS) aim to tackle two of the biggest barriers to businesses making the switch to electric – upfront costs and access to charging. ✅

As CES we bring extensive expertise in high-capacity vehicle charging, and we can help support businesses looking to decarbonise their fleets and reduce operational costs, which in turn will help them lower overheads, support jobs and mitigate the fluctuating price of fuel.

We’re going to be talking about it at the Road Transport expo at Stoneleigh Park Events, Warwickshire at the end of June. It’ll be exciting to be able to chat through all the options available for businesses and their fleets. If you're coming along, pop by our stand G58A, we'll be there 30 June – 2 July.

Oliver Walden, our brilliant apprentice, decided to take on a bet with the gaffer. Convinced his mighty City would win, but didn't, Oli will now, at the next company outing & much to his disappointment, have to wear a 25-26 Arsenal shirt.

First aid is a vital skill that can make all the difference in an emergency, and it’s especially important for our team who are out and about working alongside others regularly on-site.

Upskilling our team boosts safety, confidence and response times when every second counts.

We've headed to the big smoke today - on important business ⚡

Our team are currently soaking up the atmosphere at the London's Solar & Storage Live expo, and what a day for it ☀️!

Over 150 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations, 90 agenda-driven sessions covering everything from solar PV and battery storage to EV charging, and thousands of industry professionals sharing knowledge and insights.

We've got our work cut out for us today, bring it on!

For CES, events like Solar Storage Live are invaluable. We work across commercial, horticultural, agricultural and manufacturing sectors, designing and installing solar PV systems, battery storage, EV fleet electrification and energy management solutions that help UK businesses decarbonise and move towards greater energy independence. Being here means we can stay ahead of the latest technology, forge new partnerships and, most importantly, keep learning from industry leaders and innovators. Great to see so many familiar faces today too!

There's nothing quite like being in a room with people who are as passionate about renewable energy and sustainable business practices as we are.

The networking, the discussions, the chance to see live installs and product demos – it all feeds directly into the work we do

So let's talk about yesterday. The Commercial Vehicle Show was brilliant! There was a real buzz, the atmosphere and energy in the room was electric (pun intended! 🤦‍♂️ ).

🔌⚡ Particularly interesting to note the excitement around the LCV market, it was unmissable, with visitor conversations genuinely shifting. Where once we heard "I'll never get an EV" to now hearing real positive reactions to incredible electric vehicles, now that's progress. 👍

We also made our way to the seminar space to see the "How to Decarbonise Your Fleet: Expert Strategies for LCVs and HGVs" panel 🎤 , it was eye-opening, brilliant speakers:

🎙 Stephanie Haszczyn, senior policy manager for decarbonisation at Logistics UK

A key takeaway? 🟢 Fleet operators need better understanding of their Scope 3 emissions and how to tackle them. 👊 (Just a side note, this is where CES come in - we can help 😉 )

And here's the thing, a vital and brilliant point raised by Paul Kirby, driver engagement is critical. Those already running electric vans and HGVs are having positive experiences and becoming the best advocates for change. 🚛

Meet Danny the guy who lives by the phrase “if a job’s worth doing it’s worth doing well”. The constant perfectionist, our lead electrician, quite rightly, believes in the highest of standards!

This is Lisa, our office manager who keeps us all on our toes. Her dedication to being organised and efficient helps keep this place running smoothly behind the scenes.

Heidi, our Operations Manager. Her sunny disposition never falters, but don’t let that fool you! She’s in charge and we all know it! She works closely with the leadership team planning for future growth and manages the financial side of the business.

Meet Joe, our managing director, driven and passionate, our team leader. Never one to stand still when it comes to knowledge and learning. He oversees the overall direction of the company, providing strong leadership and ensuring every project aligns with CES’s commitment to quality & innovation
