Without further ado, your Shropshire Stainless and Aluminium Young Member of the Month Award, goes to, Eleanor Taylor.

Eleanor's work on and off the pitch never goes unnoticed. She is an avid supporter of our Sirens XV (travelling to pretty much every game to cheer them on!). She was part of the mascot team at the Women's RWC, meeting Scotland captain, Rachel Malcolm and leaving such and impression, that the club have been lucky enough to speak with Rachel about the experience. Most recently, Eleanor left a note for the England Red Roses that was shared across their social media and ours, further growing the women and girls section at Newport (Salop) RUFC.

Eleanor, you are an inspiration to many, a feared opponent on the pitch by most (mainly the boys!) and you truly embody everything that it is, to be a Newport (Salop) RUFC Member.

🌍🏉 Supporting Future Talent – On and Off the Pitch

At SSA, we’re proud to support our local community – and this time, it’s taken us all the way to South America! ✈️

We’ve recently sponsored the Abraham Darby Academy Rugby Team as they embark on a once-in-a-lifetime tour. More than just a trip, this experience will help shape the confidence, discipline, and resilience of these young players – skills that build strong teams and strong futures.

As our Managing Director, Gary James, puts it:

"Using rugby and sport to channel better development in children's personal skills, discipline, and confidence, which then may lead to a good work ethic, is something I truly believe in. I didn’t hesitate when I found out that Abraham Darby was looking for support for their amazing tour to South America. This trip will change the direction of these pupils' lives, and I am delighted to support it. As you see, the pupils are having an amazing time and we wish them all the best on their travels."

It’s inspiring to see young people growing through sport, and we’re honoured to play a part in their journey. 💪
