🏉🏆Young Member of the Month Award 🏆🏉
With the support of long standing and key sponsor, Shropshire Stainless and Aluminium, we are excited to announce our Young Member of the Month Award for April is Jaycob Kowalski!
Despite being deaf, he shows incredible commitment and enthusiasm, attending every Thursday training session and every Sunday fixture without fail. He consistently demonstrates the true meaning of TREDS in everything he does. Even with the challenges of noise and distractions around him, he excels in every game and always gives his absolute best.
What truly sets him apart is his positive attitude and kindness towards others. He is always ready to support his teammates, especially those with hearing difficulties, showing leadership beyond his years. No matter the situation, he always has a smile on his face and brings great energy to the team. He is a fantastic role model and thoroughly deserves this award in recognition for his dedication, character, and spirit.
The ‘Young Member of the Month Award’ is awarded to a young member who embodies everything that it is, to be a Newport (Salop) RUFC member. Whether it's outstanding performances on the pitch, fundraising and volunteering off it, positively promoting the club's image at events, and everything in-between.
Many of the Senior Men and Women that are at the club today, have come through our M&J Section, and this award is about celebrating the next generation of talent at Newport (Salop) RUFC.
We caught up with Shropshire Stainless and Aluminium Managing Director, Gary James, about why this award is so important to him and his team at SSA.
“I’m incredibly proud to support the youth development work happening here at Newport (Salop) Rugby Club. At SSA, we believe that investing in young people isn’t just good for the future of the sport, but it strengthens our whole community. Seeing the next generation grow in confidence, learn and develop new skills, and create lifelong friendships is something we’re passionate about, it’s a privilege to play even a small part in that progression. I’m especially pleased to see the fantastic progress of the girls’ and women’s teams. Their energy, commitment, and talent are inspiring, and we’re dedicated to supporting an environment where every young player, regardless of gender, has the opportunity to thrive.
Well done to everyone involved in making this such a positive and welcoming club. SSA is proud to stand alongside you.”
