Remembering Peter Hatchard

We would like to pay tribute to Peter Hatchard, owner of Thomas Hatchard & Sons (precision engineering company) for over 50 years, based in Portslade, who sadly passed away in April 2026, at the remarkable age of 90! Peter was a Director of SIGTA for almost 9 years. He will be remembered for the true gentleman he was. Our thoughts go out to his family. RIP Peter.

Apprentice Bootcamp

The Apprentice Bootcamp gives training providers an opportunity to share their insights as guest speakers. Given the popularity of careers in STEM-related industries this allows us to directly impact with the next generations career choices. Congratulations to Lloyd at Brighton i360!

Huge congratulations to Lloyd Jourdain at the Brighton i360 for completing his Maintenance and Operations level 3 apprenticeship. He's worked really hard throughout the programme, completing his college studies and an NVQ in the workplace. Overall he achieved a distinction! Lloyd is one of the skilled engineers behind the scenes keeping all the complex systems running at the Brighton i360. Well done Lloyd and all the best from the team at SIGTA!
