Prior to the announcement that plug in solar power would now be legal in the UK, we had the BBC here at our factory in Sheffield, to find out more about the development and manufacturing processes that are involved.

We also welcomed the minister of energy security and net zero, who was very supportive of our ethos.

We have been working on something very exciting and we’re excited to share it with you!

Yesterday, the government changed the law, which now legalises plug in solar.

Plug in solar allows you to have your own solar system within half an hour without the need for an electrician.

This is where Hill come into play. We have been working very hard to make frames for the solar panels so that they can sit in any garden or patio in the UK. With the help of UKSOL and Smith Bros Wholesale these are now ready to go out into your garden today!

Yesterday we welcomed Guinness World Record breaking mountaineer, author and speaker Nigel Vardy FRGS into our factory for a tour and to test out our shooting sticks.
Nigel particularly liked how easy our sticks are to operate; and the fact that they are designed, manufactured and assembled here at our factory in Sheffield.
