Reclaimed cobble tops are one of the most versatile paving materials you can choose but the right finish depends on where you're using them.

For driveways, driveway-grade cobble tops are hard to beat. These stones were originally laid to carry heavy loads across historic streets and yards, long before modern vehicles existed. When installed on a correctly prepared sub-base, they offer excellent load-bearing performance, natural grip in wet and icy conditions, and a patina that only improves with age.

In gardens and pedestrian areas, the priority shifts slightly. Smooth-finish cobble tops offer the same durability but with a more comfortable feel underfoot, making them the better choice for paths, courtyards, and seating areas.
