Nikki Jagger has been on a mission to raise funds for Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield, with Phil Stevenson at the heart of it all. Affectionately known as Stevo, Phil has worked at Sidetracker Engineering and Penny Engineering Ltd for more than 15 years.
Earlier this year, Nikki set up a tuck shop at Sidetracker, with the majority of the proceeds donated to Ashgate Hospice, alongside contributions to other valued charities. She also took part in the Ashgate Hospice Sparkle Walk in July as part of the team “Sparkle for Stevo”.
Together, these amazing fundraising efforts have raised over £650 to date, supporting the vital work Ashgate Hospice carries out across North Derbyshire.
But Nikki’s fundraising journey doesn’t stop there! After this year’s success, Nikki and her walking group have already signed up for the 2027 Ashgate Hospice Sparkle Walk. Watch out, Chesterfield!

“I took part in the Ashgate Hospice Sparkle Walk this year as part of our team, ‘Sparkle for Stevo’, to raise money for an incredible local charity.
We’re doing this for Stevo, who is still very much with us and has been through absolute hell and back, but continues to be an amazing, strong and inspiring person.
Ashgate Hospice provides vital care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across North Derbyshire. They offer not only medical care, but also emotional and practical support when it’s needed most.
This cause means a lot to us, and we want to do our bit to give back and help Ashgate Hospice continue its incredible work."
