⚠️ That little engine light doesn’t usually fix itself.

This Mercedes Vito started with an intermittent engine warning light — nothing constant and very easy to ignore.

But faults like that rarely stay small.

In this case? The inlet manifold was badly clogged. This eventually completely seized the charge movement flap — slowly restricting airflow and performance, and heading towards permanent limp home mode. 🙁

We diagnosed it properly from the start and repaired it using genuine Mercedes components ✅️

Returned clean, performance restored and ready to go back to work. 😎💃🕺🍻

If that light’s been popping up now and again — it’s usually trying to tell you something. 😄

We’re starting to see an uptake in more Tesla owners putting their trust in the FVS team 🙌

This Model 3 visited with a common issue we’re seeing on the refreshed cars: a misaligned rear tailgate and failed power function.

Left too long, this can lead to rear glass damage. 💥

We corrected the alignment and restored operation using new genuine Tesla parts ✅️

While it was with us, we also supplied and programmed an additional genuine key card — all set up and ready to go 🔑

It’s been a while. Turns out we’ve been busy actually fixing your cars 😵‍💫🔧

This Audi TT came to visit with a plethora of electrical issues for a Diagnostic Assessment.

Modern cars are packed with lots of hidden tech quietly running the show behind the scenes — until something stops playing nicely.

The fault was traced to a water-damaged PCB inside one of the car's many control modules. From the outside? Nothing obvious. Inside? Goodnight Irene.

Once sorted, we verified the repair using the oscilloscope. This way we can confidently make sure the signals are exactly as they should be without any guess work. 🤝

He carried out the job on a Volkswagen Crafter. It’s great to see the progress, confidence, and care he’s putting into his work. 💪

🎳 🎄 Santa has brought some new team shirts for local skittles side: Ballbenders! ( Or maybe FVS with the help of Collis Elmore 🤫 )

We’re really proud to have helped the Ballbenders get kitted out for their skittles season 😎

If you've slept under a rock your entire life, Skittles is a proper local tradition – played in our pubs and clubs across the county, rolling the ball down the alley and hopefully taking 9 pins with you 😆 Usually with plenty of banter along the way 🍺

It's great to support a team that keeps the game alive. It's also a privilege to play alongside these gentleman 👏

It's that time of year again where we welcome one of our most seasonal drivers back to FVS. 🤯🫢🎅

Our team is super proud to welcome Santa back this year! We certainly don't take it for granted that he consistently places his trust in the FVS Team! 🫶🫡

Santa dropped the sleigh off for its annual Service & MOT inspection, where Brandon quickly got to work. It might be powered by reindeer instead of petrol, but the same rule applies: if it lands in our workshop, we love it as our own. 😎

Brandon did a cracking job making sure everything’s safe, smooth and Christmas-Eve-ready. From antler alignment to its rooftop-landing ability, it’s all been given the Fairview touch. 👌

Brandon & Paul were on Haldex duty this week, giving a Skoda’s 4WD system the proper TLC it needs.💪

VW products with four wheel drive mostly use a Haldex system.

This is an on demand 4x4 system, where a wet clutch is used to send power to the rear wheels when you need it. Pretty neat stuff.

Like all wet clutches though, as they wear, they shed tiny particles of friction material into the oil. These particles over time turn into sludge. 🫣

Why is that important to know?

During the service we remove the hydraulic pump, clean it out properly, before filling with fresh oil.

Not doing this? That’s how pumps get starved of oil and fail — that's not cheap. 💷💷
