This time it was a Stihl HS 82T hedge trimmer in with us after the original blade had completely snapped ❌🔧

We’ve fitted a brand new replacement blade and made sure everything was torqued down to the correct manufacturer spec — keeping this trimmer running at its absolute best 💪

As always:
✅ Blade bolts tightened to spec
✅ Blade and gearbox fully lubricated
✅ Gears checked and greased
✅ Tested and ready for work

Now it’s all serviced up and handed back to the customer — ready to get straight back on the job 🌿✂️

🪚 Stihl MS194T – Damaged Top Handle Replaced 🛠️

This Stihl 194T came in with a cracked and damaged top handle – something we see more often than you’d think on climbing saws.

The top handle isn’t just for comfort, it’s a critical safety component. When damaged it can lead to:

🛠️ Stihl HS82RC – Handle Frame Replaced

This HS82RC came in with a damaged handle frame – a common issue on hedge cutters that see plenty of daily use. Once the frame is bent or cracked, the trimmer becomes uncomfortable to use and can affect control and cutting accuracy.

Left as it is, a damaged handle can cause:
• Poor grip and control
• Increased vibration to the hands
• Strain on the throttle linkage
• Risk of further casing damage

🌿 Hedge Trimmer Tip – A 2-Minute Job That Saves Gearboxes 🛠️

These photos show something we see all the time – hedge trimmer gearboxes running with very little grease inside. From the outside everything seems fine, but inside the gears are slowly wearing themselves out.

One of the most overlooked jobs is:
✅ Greasing the gearbox with the correct grease
✅ Lubricating the blades before & after use
✅ Cleaning off sap and debris so the oil can work

Skipping this can lead to:
• Overheating gearboxes
• Excess wear on gears & bearings
• Poor cutting performance
• Premature blade failure
• Expensive repairs that could’ve been avoided
